Anything by or somehow related to John Tesh / New Age.
What’s your desert island disc?
I find it more painful to chose only one desert island disc than to contemplate being in Tom Hanks’ shoes to begin with.
What’s your musical weakness?
Can you repeat the question . . . weakness as in – I don’t want to admit to others that I really like . . . Mozart? Or, that Duran Duran made good music in both iterations? Or that Thriller really is an amazing work?
Do you play a music instrument?
Yes and No. I still own a Fender Standard Stratocaster and an Ibanez Acoustic but I rarely, if ever, play anymore.
Best make out song ever?
Led Zeppelin, “Stairway to Heaven.” There is no other, really.
Best driving song?
Have to go with full album, The Who’s Quadrophenia. Try it some time – the pace, the format, the subject matter, the entire listen make two hours on the road quite enjoyable, especially if you’re alone and can play it loud, as it was meant to be.

Is downloading music for free a sin?
No! I’ve traversed the formats from LP > 8-Track > Cassette > CD > MP3 and I’m still waiting for the exchange program to trade vinyl for downloads. I bought too many of the same album in too many different formats to get moral about freebies; I miss the original Napster.
Do you karaoke?
No. Don’t drink, don’t sing in public drunk. ‘Nuff said.

One song that represents your 20s?
I was an Elton fan that morphed into a KISS Army card-holder who then found Van Halen and The Clash. I carried Rolling Stone magazine to study hall and became the guy in school with the good, new music. I bought music based on RS reviews and later, Thrasher magazine, usually at Karma Records or Second Time Around in Indianapolis. I was a teenage progressive-punk rocker and eventually Let It Be by The Replacements became the soundtrack for that era of my life and it’s still in my Top 50 ever.
